Начнём с того, что алхимия использует реагенты из рецептов для создания зелий в алхимической лаборатории (Alchemical Lab).
Найти её можно по соответствующему значку на карте и мини-карте.
В меню алхимической лаборатории (открывается при нажатии "F", если вы рядом с ней) есть 2 варианта, "Create" и "Experiment", при выборе пункта "Create" откроется меню с уже известными рецептами и выбрав из списка нужное зелье, можно будет его создать, при условии, что для этого достаточно ингредиентов.
В меню "Experiment" нужно совмещать между собой различные реагенты для получения зелий, в случае неудачи вы получите нестабильное зелье (Unstable Potion) со случайным эффектом, который может быть как положительным так и отрицательным.
Рецепты всегда одни и те же (то есть сколько бы вы не начинали играть, зная нужный рецепт можно будет создать соответствующее зелье в ходе эксперимента и тем самым открыть его)
До тех пор пока вы не заинтересованы в создании зелий Судьбы (Fate Potion), которые полностью заполняют вашу шкалу Судьбы, вы можете брать этот навык до уровня создания зелий из четырёх ингредиентов.

Реагенты
Реагенты это алхимические ингредиенты, которые при смешивании позволяют создать различные зелья. До тех пор пока вы не захотите экспериментировать самостоятельно можете создавать зелья, используя алхимические формулы, описанные далее.
Эти ингридиенты встречаются чаще остальных и могут быть найдены в самом начале Вашего путешествия. С переходом в область Detyr некоторые из этих ингридиентов станут встречаться реже, зато появятся другие.
Там, где вы начинаете своё путешествие, в Dalentarth, эти ингредиенты встречаются не так часто, если вам поскорее нужно сделать зелья можете потратить немного золота (но этого не стоит делать). Помните, что некоторые ингредиенты станут чаще встречатся в Detyre, однако некоторых из обычных ингредиентов там не так много.
Редкие реагенты всегда созранять или складывать на склад, потому что получить их можно только с редкими сокровищами или в качестве награды за квесты. Алхимические рецепты в КоА (Kingdoms of Amalur) могут быть открыты случайно (если у вас достаточно реагентов и терпения, чтобы найти их все) или вы можете получить нужную формулу, купив её у торговцев.
В зависимости от требуемого уровня навыка зелья можно разделить на 3 вида:
- Зелья новичка (Базовый уровень навыка и 3 очка в навыке алхимии);

Вы также можете также сохранить игру, купить рецепт, записать все ингредиенты и загрузить игру, а затем используя их в эксперименте создать нужное зелье.

In Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning, you can mix different Reagents with the assistance of Recipes to form different kinds of potions. This is carried out on Workbenches.
Alchemy can be separately leveled up and like all other classes, has 3 types of levels: Basic, Advanced and Master. Basic is divided into 4 ranks while the other two are divided into 3.

Alchemy Reagents
Reagents are chemical ingredients which when mixed with specific other reagents create various potions. Reagents can be categorized into three main types: common, uncommon and rare reagents.
Alchemy, unlike forging, isn’t very intuitive, and just mixing stuff randomly can result in loss of vital reagents and recipes without gaining anything useful. That is why it is best to start with some sort of knowledge of what works best with what.
Common Reagents
The term ‘common’ in Common Reagents is actually quite relative. This is because it depends on place to place; you might encounter a ‘common’ reagent in some places very commonly while encountering an ‘uncommon’ reagent very commonly in another place. However, on average bases, the following are some common reagents:
Black Cohosh – A common reagent used to make healing potions. Found in forests and grass.
Cripplespore Caps – Reagents used to affect Finesse related stats.
Eel Petal – Used for lightning based potions.
Embereyes – Reagents used for restoration.
Leechwood Bark – A common Reagent in Daletarth, but very uncommon once you exit the place.
Scarwood Bark – A reagent often used to attack.
Less Common Reagents
These reagents are less common in the starting few hours of the game. However, some of them become more common in certain areas. A few uncommon reagents are:
Bloodroot –A reagent used to increase the effect of an attribute.
Edelwiess – An uncommon reagent used to attack enemies with elemental attacks.
Sativa Fibers – These are reagents that increase the amount of damage dealt or received.
Scarab Salts – These reagents enhance the critical hits and precision attributes.
Scarlet Flowerstone – Reagents that deal with regeneration and bleeding.
Seaflax – Similar to Bloodroot.
Rare Reagents
These are special reagents that are available in the form of special treasure or rewards. These should be kept safe and only used in the utmost important situations. Currently, we only know of two rare reagents:
Essence of Fate – This is a powerful and very rare reagent and is vital to creating the best potions in the game. It is usually acquired through quests, hence rarely ever found in the open or naturally.
Prismere Dust – Another extremely rare reagent, it deals with giving immense experience boost properties when used to make potions.
Alchemy Recipes
There are multiple methods of discovering useful recipes – the most obvious is just to guess. However, this is not the recommended way, as it can result in wastage of precious reagents, and time of course.
The other alternative is to purchase recipe formulae from merchants and learn them. However, that takes up money, so be careful about the quality of recipes you buy.

Alchemy Workbenches
Workbenches are places where the player can engage in Alchemy crafting. Workbenches can be found in the following locations in the Faelands:
- Basement of Golden Age Alchemy in Gorhart, Odarath. Golden Age Alchemy is where you meet Nanne Hanri, who gives you the Recipe for Trouble Quest.
- Didenhil in Glendara
- Canneroc in Webwood
- Gossamer End in Webwood
- Helmgard Keep
- Rathir
- Adessa

Их вы сможете купить у NPC или найти во всем Faelands. Также вы сможете эксперементировать с зельями и смешивать их. Чем выше навык алхимии, тем больше вы сможете создать микстур. Для работы с алхимией, необходимо специальное рабочее место.
Reagents. Они встречаются по всему Faelands. Будьте очень внимательны в изучении мира. Так как вы можете найти необходимые реагенты. Также реагенты можно приобрести в основном у алхимиков Faelands.
Рецепты. Они необходимы для создания зелий. Вы их сможете найти по всему Faelands. Также раздобыть рецепты вы сможете на своем рабочем месте.
Рабочее место. Собственно именно в этом месте персонаж работает для созданий зелий. В основном они находятся в магазинах, где продаются реагенты и рецепты для алхимии.

Учебник по алхимии находится в локации Cradle of Summer на северо-западе Plains of Erathell за секретной дверью в скале. Секретная дверь находится немного восточнее входа в Urul-Tusk, для того чтобы ее обнаружить необходим навык Поиск тайников 5.

В зависимости от уровня навыка (Базовый, Продвинутый или Мастерский) эффект зелий становится сильнее, поэтому, если с базовым уровнем навыка малое зелье даёт, скажем, 10% к сопротивлению, то на продвинутом уровне навыка оно будет давать уже 25% (а на мастерском — уже 75%!). Усиление эффекта относится ко всем зельям, кроме тех, что добавляют очки навыков (например Merchant’s Command) и, конечно же, зелью Судьбы (Fate Potion).
